2021.01.05 – Aiken County Council Speech on January 5, 2021.
This is the speech that Vicki Simons delivered to Aiken County Council during the Informal Meeting of the Whole.

Good evening, Chairman Bunker and members of Aiken County Council.
My name is Vicki Simons. I live in Mr. Napier’s district.
During my public comments at the Aiken County Council meeting on October 20, 2020, I stated that most Americans are not taught what’s in the U.S. Constitution, nor are they aware of its limitations on government that have helped make America great.
I also stated that in early 2021, I planned to help lead a second, multi-part Constitutional Workshop so that participants may learn what the Constitution says and means.
I wrote a letter to each of you, which was delivered to the secretary for the County Council yesterday and which hopefully you have by now received.
In that letter, I wrote that my husband Mike and I will host a 6-part Constitutional Workshop north of Aiken, SC, on alternating Tuesday evenings starting on January 12, 2021.
These Constitutional Workshop meetings have specifically been scheduled around the Aiken County Council’s meetings.
To indicate your interest in attending this event, please
- pull up in a web browser the form on the page I will give you in a moment,
- fill in your contact info, and
- send it by no later than January 7, this coming Thursday.
The form is located through the following URL shortener:
bit.ly/cwaikensc
Again, the URL shortener is bit.ly/cwaikensc
You may remember the last part of the URL because “cwaikensc” stands for “Constitutional Workshop Aiken SC.”
We look forward to having you join us starting next Tuesday evening!
Thank you.
